Use your phone or computer camera to try this frame virtually, wherever you are.
This collection is conceived and produced by our team. The idea is to offer contemporary glasses that are easy to wear. These geometric frames are designed to remain timeless and well balanced on the face. We produce all frames in small quantities to keep a limited selection that is regularly refreshed in our boutiques. Each model is designed for everyday comfort and to work easily with different styles.
Our Signature acetate octagonal models use Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, chosen for its layered colours and the way it can be shaped and polished. The hinges are designed for daily use. Each pair comes with a Maison Mata case and a microfibre cloth. We work with small workshops in Bali and elsewhere in Indonesia for cases and packaging. Our sunglasses offer UV400 protection.
Our opticians can advise you on prescription lenses in store. These include UV protection, anti-reflective treatment and a hard coating to help resist small scratches.
Lifetime care for your Maison Mata octagonal glasses is free in store: replacement screws and nose pads, acetate polishing and frame adjustments.
Rinse off dust or sand with clean, lukewarm water, then dry gently with a clean microfibre cloth. Keep your glasses in their case when you are not wearing them.
Maison Mata frames are designed to take prescription or sun lenses. These octagonal frames can be fitted with different lens types according to your prescription and needs: single-vision, progressive, polarised, photochromic or blue-light filtering lenses. Our opticians can guide you towards lenses suited to your vision and everyday use. You can also have a free eye exam with our optometrists in Canggu, Ubud or Sanur. This eye exam allows us to establish your prescription before making your lenses.
Geometric frames use angled sides to draw a defined outline around the eyes. The angles create contrast with round and oval faces, without relying on a square or rectangular shape. A fine rim makes the geometry subtle; thicker acetate brings it forward. Explore designs for women and men.
The same shape can look different depending on its width, lens height and rim thickness. A larger frame creates more presence; a fine rim or translucent acetate gives a lighter outline. Use the product-page dimensions to compare proportions. Our opticians can help with sizing and adjustment.
Yes. Adjustments are available at every Maison Mata boutique in Bali.
Our team checks the temples and how the frame rests on your nose, then adjusts it for a more comfortable fit.
Photochromic lenses darken outdoors and become clearer indoors, so they can be useful when you move between different light conditions.
How quickly they change, and how dark they become, depends on the lens, the temperature and the light. Our opticians can explain the options available.
Salt, sweat and sunscreen can leave residue on the lenses and around the frame. Rinse away sand or salt with clean water before wiping, so you do not rub particles across the surface. Use our lens cleaning solution and the supplied microfibre cloth for remaining marks. Avoid paper tissues and clothing, which can scratch the lenses.
We shape and polish Handmade frames by hand in our Canggu workshop, after an initial CNC cut. We also design our Signature frames, which are assembled in Bali. The acetate models in both collections use Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, with different production methods.
Do your glasses slip or sit unevenly? We adjust frames free of charge, including those bought elsewhere, so they sit more comfortably on your nose and behind your ears.
Polishing can restore the shine to an acetate frame and soften small surface marks. This service is free for the lifetime of your Maison Mata glasses. It is for the frame, not the lenses.
Screw and nose pad replacement is free for the lifetime of your Maison Mata glasses. We also assess possible repairs to frames bought elsewhere. Other repairs and parts are quoted before any work begins.
