Our material

Hypoallergenic durable acetate pieces used to craft Maison Mata handmade eyeglasses.

Italian acetate

We use Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, crafted from cotton and wood fibers. Strong, flexible, and durable, it is pressed into sheets and shaped into frames. Hypoallergenic and comfortable, it’s the foundation of our handmade sunglasses and optical eyewear.

Stainless steel

Lightweight yet strong, our stainless steel parts are built to last. From hinges to temples, every detail is engineered for comfort, durability, and a clean finish.

Leather

Our cases and pouches are handcrafted in Bali using supple, resilient leather. Over time, the leather develops a natural patina, making each piece more personal and unique.

Our Lenses

All our lenses include UVA/UVB protection. Sunglasses come with polarized CR39 lenses to reduce glare and improve contrast, perfect for outdoor life.
