Designed in Bali and made from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, Java Jungle reinterprets the classic round pantos frame in a deep, elegant tortoiseshell tone. Inspired by 1960s Parisian eyewear, this model blends timeless charm with modern minimalism. Lightweight and refined, it suits square and oval faces, offering balance and effortless sophistication.

The lenses can be customized to your needs: polarized to reduce glare, blue-light filters, or exclusive tints developed in our Bali workshop. Optional prescription lenses can also be crafted by our opticians. Each pair includes UV400 protection, an anti-reflective coating, and a scratch-resistant finish for lasting clarity and comfort.

Questions & Answers for Eyewear Lenses & Customization

What face shapes suit round glasses best?

Round glasses soften strong or angular features, ideal for square and rectangular faces. They highlight natural symmetry and add a creative, vintage touch. For round faces, look for thinner or slightly flattened circles to avoid accentuating curves.

Will round glasses make my face look too large or too small?

Round frames can visually shorten long faces if too small, or exaggerate width on wider ones. Keep the frame edges within your temples for harmony. The goal is balance, a circular frame should feel light, not dominant.

Are handmade sunglasses worth it compared to popular designer brands?

In terms of materials, they can be similar, many use Italian acetate or steel.
What truly sets handmade sunglasses apart is their individuality : each pair has its own soul and story.
Industrial production delivers the same perfect, identical frame every time; handmade pieces, created in Bali, carry unique details and textures that make them alive.

Where can I get an eye exam or vision test by optometrists in Bali?

You can visit any Maison Mata boutique in Bali, our in-store optometrists offer full vision tests and lens consultations.
