Handcrafted in our Bali workshop (≈ 15 days), Last Word stands out for its bold, architectural silhouette. The thick frame, perfectly straight top line, and keyhole bridge create a design that feels both timeless and confident. Inspired by the clean geometry of mid-century architecture, it blends structure with statement style. Originally designed as a masculine frame, it also works beautifully as an oversized piece for women, offering a refined yet powerful look. It suits round and oval faces best, adding balance and definition, though other face shapes can wear it effortlessly depending on the desired character. Made from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, it combines density, shine, and long-lasting comfort.
The included lenses can be tailored to your needs, polarized for glare reduction, blue-light filters for daily wear, or exclusive tints developed in our Bali workshop. Optional photochromic or prescription lenses can also be prepared by our opticians. Each pair provides UV400 protection, anti-reflective coating, and a scratch-resistant finish for perfect clarity.
Each Last Word is polished and fitted by hand in our Canggu boutique, where craftsmanship meets bold design.

Questions & Answers for Eyewear Lenses & Customization
Is the square shape suitable for my face?
Square frames add structure and definition, making them ideal for round or oval faces. They sharpen softer contours and create a refined, confident look. For square or angular faces, opt for thinner edges or rounded corners to avoid hardening your expression.
Will square glasses make my face look too large or too small?
Square frames can widen the face if oversized. Choose proportions slightly narrower than your cheekbones for a balanced, modern effect. Smaller models work well on fine features, while medium-width frames fit most face shapes.
Can I customize the frame color, lens tint, or engraving on Maison Mata eyewear?
Yes, every Maison Mata frame can be personalized.
You can choose the color, lens tint, engraving, and even the size of your frame.
In our Bali boutique, we design each detail with you, adjusting proportions, finishes, and tones until the piece truly reflects your style.
Are all sunglasses UV protected, and what does UV400 actually mean?
Not all sunglasses offer full UV protection.
UV400 means the lenses block 100 % of UVA and UVB rays, essential in Bali’s strong tropical light.
All Maison Mata sunglasses meet or exceed UV400 standards.
How often should I get an eye exam to keep my prescription up to date?
We recommend a full eye exam every 12 to 18 months.
If you live in Bali, where light and humidity can strain the eyes, it’s wise to check your vision yearly for optimal comfort.
Do you collaborate on limited editions or capsule collections?
Yes, we love collaborations.
Maison Mata regularly co-creates limited-edition frames and capsule collections with artists, designers, and brands who share our creative values.
