Signature collection
This collection is conceived and produced by our team. The idea is to offer contemporary glasses that are easy to wear. These round frames are designed to remain timeless and well balanced on the face. We produce all frames in small quantities to keep a limited selection that is regularly refreshed in our boutiques. Each model is designed for everyday comfort and to work easily with different styles.

Materials and case
Our Signature acetate round models use Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, chosen for its layered colours and the way it can be shaped and polished. The hinges are designed for daily use. Each pair comes with a Maison Mata case and a microfibre cloth. We work with small workshops in Bali and elsewhere in Indonesia for cases and packaging. Our sunglasses offer UV400 protection.

Advice and care
Our opticians can advise you on prescription lenses in store. These include UV protection, anti-reflective treatment and a hard coating to help resist small scratches.
Lifetime care for your Maison Mata round glasses is free in store: replacement screws and nose pads, acetate polishing and frame adjustments.
Rinse off dust or sand with clean, lukewarm water, then dry gently with a clean microfibre cloth. Keep your glasses in their case when you are not wearing them.

Prescription lens options
Maison Mata frames are designed to take prescription or sun lenses. These round frames can be fitted with different lens types according to your prescription and needs: single-vision, progressive, polarised, photochromic or blue-light filtering lenses. Our opticians can guide you towards lenses suited to your vision and everyday use. You can also have a free eye exam with our optometrists in Canggu, Ubud or Sanur. This eye exam allows us to establish your prescription before making your lenses.

01Which face shapes suit round glasses?
Round sunglasses contrast with square, rectangular and angular features. A fine rim keeps the outline light; thicker acetate makes the circle more prominent. On a round face, a slightly flattened top or finer rim offers a subtler way to wear the shape. Explore designs for women and men.

02Will round glasses make my face look too large or too small?
The same shape can look different depending on its width, lens height and rim thickness. A larger frame creates more presence; a fine rim or translucent acetate gives a lighter outline. Use the product-page dimensions to compare proportions. Our opticians can help with sizing and adjustment.

03What is the difference between Handmade and Signature?
We shape and polish Handmade frames by hand in our Canggu workshop, after an initial CNC cut. We also design our Signature frames, which are assembled in Bali. The acetate models in both collections use Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, with different production methods.

04Where can I have an eye exam with an optometrist in Bali?
Free eye exams with qualified optometrists are available at Maison Mata Canggu, Ubud and Sanur.
Allow 20 to 30 minutes for the exam and advice on your prescription lenses. Eye exams are not available at Seminyak. -
05Do you offer quick fixes in Bali (screws, alignment) and how long does it take?
Our Bali boutiques can help with repairs and adjustments, including loose screws, temple alignment and frame fitting.
Simple adjustments can often be done during your visit.
If a repair needs a special part, our team will confirm the timing after checking your glasses. -
06How long does a custom order take from design to final polish?
Personalising an existing Handmade model takes around 15 days of production. For a new Tailor-Made design, allow 30 days for design and production. Both timings exclude shipping.
Tailor-Made begins with your ideas, mood board and measurements. We refine the drawings and prototypes with you. The frame is then shaped, assembled and polished by hand in Canggu, after an initial CNC cut.

Adjustments
Do your glasses slip or sit unevenly? We adjust frames free of charge, including those bought elsewhere, so they sit more comfortably on your nose and behind your ears.

Polishing
Polishing can restore the shine to an acetate frame and soften small surface marks. This service is free for the lifetime of your Maison Mata glasses. It is for the frame, not the lenses.
03
Repairs
Screw and nose pad replacement is free for the lifetime of your Maison Mata glasses. We also assess possible repairs to frames bought elsewhere. Other repairs and parts are quoted before any work begins.
