Handcrafted in our Bali workshop (≈ 15 days), Midnight Mirage is an oval frame with a bold upward lift, designed to project strength and attitude. Its shape combines soft curves and sharp intent, creating an assertive yet fluid look. Without any straight lines, it remains visually powerful thanks to its sculpted contours and balanced thickness. Inspired by early 2000s futuristic eyewear and modern minimalist design, it embodies confidence with a touch of rebellion. Designed for both men and women, it suits round and oval faces, adding structure and distinction. Of course, other face shapes can wear it beautifully depending on the desired style. Made from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, it offers depth, density, and lasting comfort.

The lenses can be tailored to your needs: polarized to reduce glare, blue-light filters for daily use, or exclusive tints developed in our Bali workshop. Optional photochromic or prescription lenses can also be crafted by our opticians. Each pair includes UV400 protection, an anti-reflective coating, and a scratch-resistant finish for long-lasting clarity.


Every Midnight Mirage is hand-polished and adjusted in our Canggu boutique, where French design precision meets Balinese craftsmanship, the Maison Mata signature.

    Each Cat Eye Maison Mata frame begins as a flat sheet of Italian acetate before finding its lifted, feminine curve in our Bali workshop. About two weeks of careful shaping and polishing bring each one to life. You can choose the tint, engraving, or size that fits you best. Every step is done by hand, with precision and care, in Canggu.

  • Materials & Packaging

    Our Cat Eye frames are made from Mazzucchelli acetate, strong, balanced, and light. Inside, a stainless-steel core provides flexibility, while CR39 or polarized lenses protect against glare and UV rays. Each pair comes with a leather case, microfiber cloth, care solution, and small screwdriver, all prepared by hand in our Bali workshop.

  • Services and Care

    Maison Mata eyewear is made to last and age gracefully. If your Cat Eye frames ever need a polish, adjustment, or repair, our Bali boutiques will take care of it free of charge. Clean your lenses with the microfiber cloth, store them safely, and keep them away from heat. Over time, the acetate develops a soft patina unique to your pair.
