Signature collection
This collection is conceived and produced by our team. The idea is to offer contemporary glasses that are easy to wear. These oversized frames are designed to remain timeless and well balanced on the face. We produce all frames in small quantities to keep a limited selection that is regularly refreshed in our boutiques. Each model is designed for everyday comfort and to work easily with different styles.

Materials and case
Our Signature acetate oversized models use Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, chosen for its layered colours and the way it can be shaped and polished. The hinges are designed for daily use. Each pair comes with a Maison Mata case and a microfibre cloth. We work with small workshops in Bali and elsewhere in Indonesia for cases and packaging. Our sunglasses offer UV400 protection.

Advice and care
Our opticians can advise you on prescription lenses in store. These include UV protection, anti-reflective treatment and a hard coating to help resist small scratches.
Lifetime care for your Maison Mata oversized glasses is free in store: replacement screws and nose pads, acetate polishing and frame adjustments.
Rinse off dust or sand with clean, lukewarm water, then dry gently with a clean microfibre cloth. Keep your glasses in their case when you are not wearing them.

Prescription lens options
Maison Mata frames are designed to take prescription or sun lenses. These oversized frames can be fitted with different lens types according to your prescription and needs: single-vision, progressive, polarised, photochromic or blue-light filtering lenses. Our opticians can guide you towards lenses suited to your vision and everyday use. You can also have a free eye exam with our optometrists in Canggu, Ubud or Sanur. This eye exam allows us to establish your prescription before making your lenses.

01Is the oversized shape suitable for my face?
Oversized sunglasses make the proportions part of the look. A broad front can add width to a long face; rounded outlines soften angular features, while sharper edges add definition. Our selection for women and men includes both. For a lighter oversized effect, choose a finer rim or translucent acetate. Our sunglasses provide UV400 protection. Our opticians can advise you in store on prescription lenses.

02Will oversized glasses make my face look too large or too small?
The same shape can look different depending on its width, lens height and rim thickness. A larger frame creates more presence; a fine rim or translucent acetate gives a lighter outline. Use the product-page dimensions to compare proportions. Our opticians can help with sizing and adjustment.

03Are thicker, angular frames heavier, and will they feel comfortable all day?
A thick outline does not have to mean an evenly thick frame. We refine the acetate on the inside as well as around the edges, working on weight and balance while preserving the shape. The way the bridge and temples distribute that weight matters for comfort, and our team can adjust the fit in store.

04Can blue-light filtering lenses be worn every day, and do they change colours?
Blue-light filtering lenses can be worn daily and combined with a prescription. Depending on the lens range, light tints may also be available. The tint and visible reflections vary by lens and treatment; our opticians can show you the options and confirm the combination for your prescription.

05How long does it take to get prescription lenses made and fitted?
Single-vision lenses usually take 30 minutes to 3 days; progressive and office lenses usually take 7 to 10 days. Timing depends on your prescription, lens availability and the laboratory, and we confirm the estimate before you order.
Free eye exams are available in Canggu, Ubud and Sanur. Lens edging and fitting into the frame are carried out at our Canggu workshop.

06What happens if my glasses get scratched or damaged, can you repair or replace parts?
Bring us the frame or send clear photos. Depending on the damage, we may be able to polish the acetate, replace a temple or the lenses, or reassemble the frame. We explain what is possible and any charges before carrying out the work.
Lifetime care for your Maison Mata oversized glasses is free in store: replacement screws and nose pads, acetate polishing and frame adjustments. Scratched lenses are replaced, not polished.

Adjustments
Do your glasses slip or sit unevenly? We adjust frames free of charge, including those bought elsewhere, so they sit more comfortably on your nose and behind your ears.

Polishing
Polishing can restore the shine to an acetate frame and soften small surface marks. This service is free for the lifetime of your Maison Mata glasses. It is for the frame, not the lenses.

Repairs
Screw and nose pad replacement is free for the lifetime of your Maison Mata glasses. We also assess possible repairs to frames bought elsewhere. Other repairs and parts are quoted before any work begins.
