Talk to the workshop

Handcrafted to order in our Bali workshop over approximately 15 days, Shindig Brown delivers a warmer, more organic take on the iconic 1970s round frame. Its circular lenses, straight bridge and thick acetate temples are highlighted by rich brown tones, giving the design a natural vintage feel. Designed for men and women, this frame is especially flattering on oval and square face shapes. Made from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, the frame combines strength, comfort and depth of color. The brown finish reveals subtle variations under light, while each pair is carefully shaped, assembled and hand-polished for a smooth finish and balanced fit.

Shindig Brown can be fitted with polarized lenses to reduce glare, custom-tinted lenses developed in-house with anti-reflective coating, blue-light filtering lenses for everyday screen use, or photochromic and prescription lenses prepared by our opticians in Bali. All lenses include UV400 protection, anti-reflective treatment and scratch-resistant coating for reliable daily clarity.

Every Shindig frame is fully handmade by our artisans in Canggu, where craftsmanship meets the spirit of creative freedom.

Questions & Answers for Eyewear Lenses & Customization

What face shapes suit round glasses best?

Round glasses soften strong or angular features, ideal for square and rectangular faces. They highlight natural symmetry and add a creative, vintage touch. For round faces, look for thinner or slightly flattened circles to avoid accentuating curves.

Will round glasses make my face look too large or too small?

Round frames can visually shorten long faces if too small, or exaggerate width on wider ones. Keep the frame edges within your temples for harmony. The goal is balance, a circular frame should feel light, not dominant.

Are handmade sunglasses worth it compared to popular designer brands?

In terms of materials, they can be similar, many use Italian acetate or steel.
What truly sets handmade sunglasses apart is their individuality : each pair has its own soul and story.
