Corporate gifts in Bali: why guests remember the ones they choose
Ask anyone back from an incentive trip what was in their welcome bag. Most can't remember. Ask what they picked up for themselves on the last day, and they will tell you in detail.
The problem with most corporate gifts
A corporate gift has a hard job. It has to please a sales director from Singapore and a new hire from Sydney, fit in a suitcase and still say something about the company that offered it. So most companies play it safe: the same branded item for everyone, chosen months in advance by someone who will never meet the guests.
The result is predictable. The gift is polite, nobody dislikes it, and it rarely leaves the hotel room.
What guests remember is not the object. It is the moment they chose it.
Choice changes everything
That is the idea behind our gift experience. Instead of handing out one gift, we bring our eyewear boutique to your event and let every guest choose their own pair of sunglasses, made in our workshop in Bali.
To make that choice real, we plan for about three frames per guest. For a group of 100, we arrive with around 300 pieces. Round, square, cat-eye, aviator, tortoiseshell or crystal: every face finds something, including the guests who arrive at the end of the evening.
An evening activation in Bali
Guests arrive between two drinks, try on three or four frames, ask their colleagues' opinion and leave with the pair they love. No two guests leave with the same gift.
A gift that actually fits
A pair of sunglasses that slides down the nose ends up in a drawer, however beautiful it is. That is why our opticians come to every event with our adjustment machines. Each guest has their frame fitted to their face in a few minutes, while they wait. It is also the part guests talk about afterwards: very few gifts are adjusted to the person who receives them.

Your brand, carried home
The sunglasses carry the Maison Mata name. Everything around them can carry yours. Microfiber cloths are printed with your pattern, event name and dates. Paper bags are co-branded with your logo next to ours. Cases can be personalised on request. We produce all of it in Bali, so allow about a month.

Where it works best
Incentive trips, where top performers deserve better than a goodie bag. Conferences and MICE groups, during a welcome reception or a gala dinner. Hotel VIP programmes and loyalty events. In each case the format is the same: a few hours, a beautiful display, and a crowd of people trying things on and laughing.
A boutique for one evening
Wooden trays, flowers and Balinese lanterns. Each display is designed for the venue, so the gift feels like part of the event, not an add-on.
How it works, in four steps

How many frames do you bring?
About three times the number of guests. For 100 guests, around 300 pieces, so the choice stays wide until the end.
