Sunset Lenses: Your Day, Colour-Graded Like a Film
Put them on and the world changes colour. A sunset turns copper. A grey sky turns blue. You step into a film.
Choose a lens, change the film
Not darker. More colourful.
Most sunglasses make the world darker. Ours change its colour. Eleven tints designed in-house, produced by HOYA, exclusive to Maison Mata. Each one grades the scene like a cinematographer: warmer, cooler, deeper.
The sunset, turned up.
Orange, red, amber: these tints hold back part of the blue light. The sky turns copper, the sand gold, the skin sun-kissed. Golden hour lasts longer.
The grey day, repainted.
Blue passes, warm tones fade. Under an overcast sky, grey turns blue. The tint for rainy season, from November to March.

Questions
What is a sunset lens?
A lens tinted with a gradient or a warm colour, inspired by the sky at dusk. At Maison Mata, Sunset is also the name of our signature gradient, from indigo to orange.
Do the colours really change?
Yes. A warm tint holds back part of the blue light, so the scene looks warmer and more contrasted. A blue tint does the opposite.
Can I get them with my prescription?
Yes. Signature tints are available on prescription lenses, in store. Our optometrists check your eyes on site.
