Signature Collection
An exclusive collaboration between Maison Mata and Cove. Island Essentials in Bali. Designed by us, made from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate and assembled in Bali.
Materials & Packaging
Signature frames use Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, chosen for its layered colours and the way it can be shaped and polished. Each pair comes with a Maison Mata case and microfibre cloth. Our sunglasses provide UV400 protection. Prescription lenses are selected in store and include UV protection, an anti-reflective coating and a hard coat for improved resistance to micro-scratches.
Services & Care
Lifetime care for your Maison Mata glasses is free in store: screw and nose-pad replacement, acetate polishing and frame adjustments.
Clean the lenses with the microfibre cloth and keep your glasses in their case when you are not wearing them.

Lenses, care and custom options

Is the oval shape suitable for my face?

Oval sunglasses stretch a rounded shape horizontally. Their curves contrast with square, rectangular or angular features, while a narrow profile gives the frame a more discreet line. Thicker rims change the mood without changing the shape. Explore oval designs for women and men.

Will oval glasses make my face look too large or too small?

The same shape can look different depending on its width, lens height and rim thickness. A larger frame creates more presence; a fine rim or translucent acetate gives a lighter outline. Use the product-page dimensions to compare proportions. Our opticians can help with sizing and adjustment.

How are Signature frames made?

Signature frames are designed by Maison Mata and made in our manufacturing facility in Asia from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate.
They are then assembled in Bali. The 15-day production process applies to our Handmade collection.

Do blue-light filter lenses really help with screens and eye strain?

Blue-light filters reduce part of the blue light reaching your eyes. They have not been shown to reliably relieve screen-related eye strain or headaches.
Our opticians can explain the lens options for your prescription and how you use your screens.

How should I clean my lenses without scratching them?

Use the microfiber cloth supplied with your Maison Mata glasses and our lens cleaning solution.
Rinse off sand or salt with clean water before wiping. Avoid paper tissues and clothing, which can scratch the lenses.

How sustainable are Maison Mata materials and packaging?

Cellulose acetate is a plastic made from chemically modified plant cellulose, with plasticisers added to give it flexibility.
We use Italian Mazzucchelli acetate for its depth of colour and the way it can be shaped, adjusted and polished. Its plant origin does not mean every ingredient is plant-based.
