Handmade to order in our Bali workshop (≈15 days), Elderflower Enemy revisits the vintage cat-eye shape from the ’60s and ’70s, giving it a stronger, more geometric edge. Its thick angular silhouette blends elegance with rebellion, a modern nod to retro glamour. Designed mainly for women, but made to suit men who love distinctive design, it fits oval, long, round and square faces perfectly. Each frame is made from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, combining depth of color, balance, and comfort with a hand-polished finish.

You can choose your lenses, polarized to reduce glare, softly tinted lenses developed in-house, blue-light filters for daily screen use, or photochromic and prescription lenses prepared by our opticians in Bali. All offer UV400 protection, anti-reflective and scratch-resistant coatings.

Every Elderflower Enemy frame is shaped, polished, and assembled by hand in Canggu, where you can watch our artisans bring each detail to life inside the boutique.

Each Cat Eye Maison Mata frame begins as a flat sheet of Italian acetate before finding its lifted, feminine curve in our Bali workshop. About two weeks of careful shaping and polishing bring each one to life. You can choose the tint, engraving, or size that fits you best. Every step is done by hand, with precision and care, in Canggu.
Materials & Packaging
Our Cat Eye frames are made from Mazzucchelli acetate, strong, balanced, and light. Inside, a stainless-steel core provides flexibility, while CR39 or polarized lenses protect against glare and UV rays. Each pair comes with a leather case, microfiber cloth, care solution, and small screwdriver, all prepared by hand in our Bali workshop.
Services and Care
Maison Mata eyewear is made to last and age gracefully. If your Cat Eye frames ever need a polish, adjustment, or repair, our Bali boutiques will take care of it free of charge. Clean your lenses with the microfiber cloth, store them safely, and keep them away from heat. Over time, the acetate develops a soft patina unique to your pair.
