Who are we?
David Beal is an optician, a profession he has cherished since his childhood. Bathed in the world of frames and lenses from a young age, he developed an unwavering passion for this art of vision. Optics was a family affair for him. His parents, like his sister, were also passionate opticians, passing down their expertise and love for eyewear from generation to generation.However, David aspired to more than become a successful optician in an already established store. He dreamed of creating something that would be his own, of leaving a unique mark in the world of optics. After gaining valuable experience working for top opticians in Paris, the idea for his own brand of eyeglasses and sunglasses began to germinate in his mind.
In 2019, he landed in Bali and met his future partners: Hyacinthe Hamon and Adi. Together, they merge their expertise to create unique eyewear, combining aesthetics and durability.
Maison Mata embodies a harmonious union between the elegance of French style and the rich living heritage of Bali. Beyond the imperative of visual refinement and safeguarding. Maison Mata facilitates the articulation of individuality through meticulous customization. It also promotes ingenuity through recurring collaborations and periodically refreshed capsules.
